Dry meat or fish... with mayo... and avocado or chili sauce...
BREAD!!!
Also you can use bread as fork/spoon in some foods (eggs in tomato sauce, fried bellpepper)

That's a tough one, they both can be very good.  But bread has to win because you can make french toast out of it... though, hmmmm, there's always rice pudding...

I like rice :3 can go good with any homecooked meal.
Then theres bread...I can live without it actually.
